May 11 is a very important day for me.

    1. Day i say Goodbye to Ronnie officially. Yes. He is cremated on 11 May 2013. A day where we bid his body goodbye. We opt for a private cremation so that we can spend some last moments with him. My heart was torn apart over and over again. Until now, i cant believe that he is gone. He did came bk to see me. like a moth circling me at night. A grasshopper when we went to collect his ash the next day where he spend time sitting at the rear car seat until LL swipe him away as we scared that he might jump and caused some accidents while we were driving. but i believe he knows our intention. We burn him his fav clothing, his toy toy girlfriend, and my last birthday present to him. his adidog hoodie that comes too late. i know he will love this hoodie cos his fav color is red. D say Ronnie is worried that i m not ok thats y he keeps coming bk to visit me. Yes, seriously, i m not ok. i lost all the motivation in life. i no longer interest in ppty, in my kickboxing, even sometimes food turns quite bad to me despite is gd food. all i wan is to look for what Ronnie wants me to do. maybe after i take up animal communication in oct, i will feel better? i dont know.

    2. LL birthday celebration and his wedding proposal. On the other hand, after settling Ronnie 's stuff, we did some celebration on the yacht that is booked by LL. I was caught by surprised by his actions as previously he told me that Terry, our good friend got some promotion for yacht outing and ask if we wanted to join. Initially i told him that is my LL birthday and then they told me that we can celebrate it together. thinking is a gd idea, so we joined them ( never know that all these are planned by LL and his friends). So in the evening, we went to One Marina 15. On our way, i even quarrel with LL over wanting to buy chicken pie and not pizza, we always late and blah stuff. but nevertheless, we got our ass up on to the yacht.

ok. back to y we are fighting over chicken pie and twelve cupcakes - we are supposed to buy pizzahut for the gang ( tasked to buy KFC and pizza but we only managed to get KFC). so i wanted to get chicken pie after the pizza idea is off..but LL say better to get twelve cupcakes which i find is not filling at all. so because of this, as usual, we are late. and i feel so terrible cos we are always late and i told LL that the yacht thing has timing and if we are late, then T may lugi the timing (still not knowing that is planned by LL).
nevertheless, we got alot of food and couldnt even finished in the end.

    we had wine and champagne..yumz.
    brokenwood shiraz.
me and E. the super chio mummy!
Moscato Rosa from Brown brothers. my fav
the cupcakes that we are arguing over. lol.
we are stuffed with so much food especially fishballs that we decided to play indian poker to "minimize" the amount of leftovers! so fun haha..
after that we head out to the deck where the yacht captain drove us to view the night view of mbs. sorry , not much nice pic as the sea is quite rocky that time.
then the yacht captian drive us to view fireworks at RWS. As you can see, i m totally unaware of whats going on and keeps taking pictures n chatting with Eliz. until LL told me to go over to his place where he proposed to me with his friends (holding on to their iphone, S3 & 4 torch lights) and Terry filming the whole event down. He then told me that everything is planned by him including the yacht is planned by him., i was really caught by surprised and touched by his actions. a wonderful night to remember.
after the proposal, we headed down to celebrate LL birthday!
here i would like to thank LL and my friends who make my day.
    1. LL - thanks for being a friend, a lover, a bf and going to b husband. i am quite ridiculous at times, stupid and silly most of the time. but u always love me with all your heart, u stand by me while i grieve my loss over Ronnie, my late popo. u always give in to my ridiculous demands like i want another dog after Ronnie passed away.
    2. Thank you to all my friends who play apart in this proposal event. you guys are great! can win star awards liao. also thanks for the food.
    a. 60 fishballs + Old Chang Kee from Garfield and QN. i dont think we will eat fishballs for the next few mths.
    b. Homecooked fried bee hoon. from HB and wifey. very yummy!
    c. birthday cake from Eliz and champagne. really very yummy
    d. sushi from Cheewei
    e. Curry chicken from Larry
    f. Wine from Terry
Thanks everyone, i really had alot of fun and joy!

I guess this is it. Ronnie is no longer there and I don't know what to do except sobbing everyday and guess blogging is the only way I can spend my time and not thinking too much about Ronnie. I will still blog about him sometimes to remember the gd times we had. although I wont have much updated pictures about him anymore. I din really take a lot of pictures of him while he is sick cos he is a vain pot and his sick face doesn't look good. he would only want to be remember while he is healthy and happy.

Went to Penang for a company event. was a 3 days 2 night but I cut short it to 2 days 1 night asking permission to fly back earlier. by then, Ronnie's sickness already deteriorated. it pains me to see him in pain and howling until the medicine kicks in its effect.

Although it was a short one but we still managed to get some food while on our way to the airport to fly back to Singapore. The food is really good but sadly, I suffered from food poisoning and LS until the day I reach Taiwan even. kinda bad as I rarely fall sick during my trips and this is the first time. probably this is also a sign which I failed to reckon that I shouldn't go and should stay back to accompany Ronnie? I don't know. like I say. many questions in my head over and over again which I keep asking myself.

I dun know what is the place but I only managed to snap a photo of the street name. apparently it is very famous for the local Penang food. it looks like Lao Pa Sat in Singapore (olden days). where u ordered from the stall and get to eat them in open air. the weather in Penang turns bad when we went to the street food market. it was starting to rain and lucky there are umbrellas on the tables. we tried a few local delicacies like  penang fried kway tiao, curry noodles, poh pia. don't really have time to try the rest but the famous ones are good enough.

    Curry noodles.

    Fried Kway Tiao

    pok pia

i would say the food is really nice and it really taste very different from the penang food you find in Singapore. maybe the penang food in Singapore has very much localized to our taste and liking. if you do have a chance to visit Penang, do drop by at lorong bahru and try their local food!

  • of goodbye my love, Ronnie

tragedy happened while I was away for my Taiwan photoshoot. Ronnie passed away a day before my birthday peacefully in his sleep. Yes, he left without me and this is what I wanted actually. I couldn't bear to see him breathe his last so I told him to go and not let me see. If you call me selfish , irresponsible, so be it. but it is true that I couldn't. if I am around, probably he will still continue to hold on to pain for me and this is not what I wan

after he is gone, I feel more terrible than ever. questions keeps popping up like why did he go? what did I not do enough? Isnt he on recovery and why he suddenly go? lots and lots of question that keeps popping up in my mind. which I cannot answer except tears keeps dropping.

although I know he has gone to a place where there is no pain and lots of friends around him but the emptiness inside me is hard to fill and everytime I go back home, I miss him. I miss all the good times with him. he was there for me during the darkest days of my life. he was there where all else abandon me. he was there for me and he loves me so much.

i would say that he loves me more than i love him cos despite he is so much in pain, he hold on to me and put up a brave front so that i can concentrate on my stuff. he hold on till the very last for me, giving me time to grieve before the next stage of my life begin. I always remember the times we had and i will give my promise to stay strong. i always remember that he loves to stay with me n spend time with me. i will always miss him and i hope one day he will bring me his friend to keep me company again and i will continue to love other dogs who need my help.

till the day we meet again. I love u. Ronnie

    Li Bai Re-visit

I love the cuisines at Li Bai and this is the second time I visit them and I got very impressed with their dishes that we decided to hold our wedding there. =P

    Food : ****1/2
    Price : ****1/2

The price is consider slightly steeper than other Chinese restaurant but u pay for what you eat. Each dishes are prepared with the freshest ingredients and best effort to enhance the natural flavours and fragrances of every ingredient. So you can imagine the amount of effort that is placed in preparing each single dish.

    Peking Duck

the chef skilfully remove the skin from the duck without any trace of duck meat so you get to only taste the crispy duck skin!

double boiled chicken shark fin soup. unlike many other restaurants, you get to eat the whole shark fin and not strands of them ;P

    Soon Hock. super fresh!

Scallop Yam Ring with stirred fried peking duck! the best combination I had so far!

Lobster noodles - super love this dish.

red bean pan cake. not very sweet and the taste is just nice!

a very high carb lunch with the pretties. but is worth it! i always wanted to try itacho but no chance cos the queue really make me do a U-turn and look for other alternatives for lunch. this time round, we make it attempt to lunch super early lol.

i guess itacho is one of the japanese restaurant i ever tried that sells wide variety of sushi and they are really very fresh. they do have promotion on sushi what cost as cheap as 40 cents! other than that, on average is about a few bucks to X amount haha. the price is a little steep but the sushi are really fresh!

    Food : ****

Price : ***( if you order only from the promotion sushi)

    lol.

we ordered a mixture of promotion sushi and from the ala carte menu as well for sharing. is fun when u have company of friends so u get to eat a bit of everything haha

for promotion sushi, you can only order 2 times per dishes for each pax. so still quite value for money if only u order from the promotion sushi

last but not least..the pretties! always fun to lunch with you girls!

A newly opened small size restaurant in the Ghim Moh neighbourhood (Blk 21) by a Chef from China ~ Mr zhang. Restaurant name is Zhang Ji Mei Shi Wang Guang. The dishes are mainly Sichuan delicacies and are prepared and cooked by Mr Zhang himself. Very china style of dishes and the price of the food is quite reasonable.

    Food : *** 1/2
    Price : *** (cheap)

Personally I love their fish steam boat where the whole fish is cooked in the big metal bowl and added with a lot of sour vege and their pig trotters. the pig trotters are so well cooked that the meat just melts in your mouth!

    fish steamboat

Sweet sour pork - big chunky pieces of meat.

    Stirred fried Si Ji Dou.

    Jia Xiang Toufu
    Pig trotters
Sour vege with big pork bones

Stirred fried kai lanA very typical restaurant that serves food that taste like home cooked. Nothing spectacular or fancy about the dishes but it just give you a homely feeling. Guess this is what Mr Zhang wants each of us to feel too. a typical home cooked meal sincerely prepared by Mr Zhang.

Found another place that sells my favourite spring onion dried la mian and it taste super duper good! they serve very good Xiao long bao and guo tie ( pan fried dumplings) too!

Located at Centrepoint ~ right in the middle of ochard road. very convenient to many shoppers and ppl like us ( who work near sommerset area). The price is very reasonable despite is located in Orchard Rd.

    Food : ****
    Price : ****

    Pork Ribs La Mian

Deep fried big meaty pork ribs ( unlike some, they really give you ribs with no meat) ~ very crispy, tender and juicy.

    My spring onion la mian.

Very generous with the spring onions. I love it! The noodles is very gd.

    Xiao long bao

these small little baos are filled with a lot of soup and the meat is very soft. so becareful when you eat them while hot!

Guo tie ( pan fried dumplings)

Athough is pan fried, but the juiciness of the meat in the dumpling is the same as Xiao long bao and I love it!

so I found another yummy place for my favourite la mian and Xiao long bao! all thanks to YJ! really enjoy dinner with u and I miss u!

  • of a taste of steamboat full of collagen

    Visit my website @ http://shirleylye12.wix.com/princessmic

Heard and read many raves on Tsukada Nojo and I always wanted to try their Bijin Nabe. the soup base of their steamboat is cooked with chicken bones that is boiled over many hours until the soup turns milky white. It was then solidify and served in jelly form. The steamboat is 25 per pax that comes with standard ingredients like prawns, veges and chicken meat balls and noodles ( 3 types for you to choose from - glass noodles, thin egg noodle, mochi mochi noodles like thick ramen).there are also side dishes for you to choose from.

it comes with 4 types of sauces for you to dip your food in.
the main ingredient - the solidify chicken soup. as you can see, it is very much like jelly and it will take approximately 5-10 mins for it to melt totally. once it is melt, it is highly recommended that you drink the soup for its original taste!

Next you can take the chicken meat and eat it with the sauce provided.
then u can start to put the veges and chicken meat ball into the steamboat
last but not least, use the soup to cook your noodles!
We also ordered some side dishes which is their nikumaki and nikumaki yuzu. basically is pork wrap rice. according to the staff, it is their famous dish!
Overall you can really taste the collagen soup and the price is quite value for money!

    Verdict out of 5 * :
    Taste : ****
    Price : ***
Return customer? Definitely! but I will make sure that I be there early cos if u reach there around 7 plus or 8, you might not get a seat and even eat it! very popular and pack with ppl!

  • of dinner @ ah Tung cafe ~ Punggol

    Visit my website @ http://shirleylye12.wix.com/princessmic

it was a late night that day when we headed out for dinner and had no where else to go lol. suddenly while we driving pass the junction at punggol plaza we saw this signboard ~ Ah tung cafe. although we seen this signboard many times but it doesnt "ring" the bell for us to visit them until that night lol.

they serve honking cafe style of food. the price is slightly steep compared to Wang Jiao or any hong kong cafe in the town area. the food wise is ok only but their jumbo chicken wings and their sour plum juice are damm good!

overall, it is a nice place to hang out with friends for chit chatting and dinner!

    we had...

    curry chicken

    olive fried rice

    sour plum juice

    jumbo chicken wings

if you wonder where it is, it is at the newly opened ( ok...at least awhile liao la) waterfront place where popeyes is.

  • of Sam Shui Chicken @ Soup Restaurant

Its been a long time since I patronize Soup Restaurant and I missed their sam shui chicken. the chicken is very much like those hainanese chicken rice except u wrap the chicken in lettuce provided like popiah to eat them. *drool*. It makes me hungry and cravings for them again haha.

Sam Shui chicken. Steam chicken with their specialty ginger sauce, wrap in fresh lettuce. A very healthy dish of the day

Salted Egg steam minced meat. LL's favourite. the meat is very soft and does not taste very dry. I can also taste some diced water chestnut in the meat so you wont feel that it is all meaty!

ah gong / ah po tapioca leaves. u can choose either one. the ah po one is spicy and the ah gong one is the non-spicy ones. I love this cos I don't like to eat veges with stem haha..and this one doesn't comes with any lol

All my fav dishes and I am satisfied for the rest of the day! lol.
