i was thinking whether to share this here in my blog but after long thoughts, i decided to and hope my experience can help may other dog owners if they have existing problems with their dogs and wishes to give up. I also hope that this will also let them know that there is still ways to help them and never give their dogs up when their dogs having agressive and other problems.

As you read previously from my blog, Ronnie had seizures previously and each seizure will cost damage to his brain and his behaviour. From a very manja dog, he will turn into a very autistic dog and turn very agressive suddenly. Me and my mum suffered 2 big bites from him after his last seizure incident. despite this, i never wanted to give up cos he is very precious to me. and so, i took the approach "body talk". Body talk is a technique that uses body to heal itself. I wouldnt say that it is not working but is just that the process takes time and i really need to find out what Ronnie is thinking about and i just want to talk to him.

So i got a dog whisperer contact from SOSD Dr Siew. If you watch the video about old boy, you will get what i mean! without hesitation, i drop the dog whisperer an email. She uses telepathy to talk to dogs and i find it very amusing on what Ronnie wants and thinks.

Valentines Day seems to be during the CNY period for a couple of years. Last yr, Valentines is around the same period too. While everyone is celebrating CNY, the couples also celebrating Valentines Day.

Last yr, our VDAY dinner is at the Cliff, this yr we had ours at the CLAN haha. i happen to stomp a deal for a VDAy dinner at the Clan at 299++ per couple with free flow of champagne.after looking at the dinner menu, we went ahead with the reservation @hungrygowhere. and i am glad that we did cos the food is fantastic! and the service there is great too! We had a wonderful time! thanks The Clan for hosting our Vday Dinner!

as part of the Vday celebration, they also help the couples to take polariod pictures too ( although i bought mine but din use in the end)

Some information about the CLAN
The Clan restaurant opened early June in 2012 ( about 8 mths old already). they serves modern european cuisine with Jap influence ( very similiar to Dozo, heard this is open by one of the chef from Dozo). the restaurant offers diners five and six course menu for lunch and dinner. the menu is price reasonably at $42.80 ++ (5 course) and $62.80 ++  (6 course).  the customers are allowed to choose the dish they would like for each course from the cold dish to the desert. There are also ala carte menu to choose from. The restuarant offers premium dishes at a very reasonable price and is a very romantic place for couples to celebrate their special day like Vday / Wedding Anniversary!

the dinner menu is a 6 course meal where there are 2 dishes per course. Each course has a very unique theme.the dishes is specially designed and prepared according to the theme.

time really flies. wow, today is the last day of the CNY long weekend aka long holiday. it seems that i have not rest enough, my nose is still running. haiz.

so hows your reunion dinner on Sat night? this year we had steamboat and i bought kurbuta pork belly from MMM ( changi point). they are really good and we love it!

the pork is thinly sliced and easy to cook (shabu)!

this is the first time we went to Porn's Sexy Thai restaurant. it was a super cold night (after rain) and we thought it might bea good idea for us to eat something spicy and hot. so Thai food is the one!

the place is very chirpy decorated and with super funky look. the staff there are also super friendly too!


the price is reasonable for the quality of the food we paid. although we only ordered 4 dishes + 2 drinks - olive fried rice,phat tai, fried kai lan and tom yam goong ( coconut milk), it add up to a total bill about 50 plus bucks. which i think is still consider reasonableafter we are stuffed.
Olive fried rice - very different style from mummy's version. maybe the type of olive they use is different? although the rice is good buti still prefer mummy's version cos mummy's version has mushrooms in it and mushroom is my favorite vege lol.
Phat tai - also very different from those we had before. the grinded peanuts is not sprinkle on top of the phat tai but fried with it.

Fried Kai Lan - very yummy especially is fried with the fish sauce. thing with thaifood is that they use fish sauce to cook and is really good
Tom Yam Goong ( coconut) - LL prefer the clear one while i prefer the coconut one ( sound very sinful and unhealthy but i love it!!)

Our drinks - thai ice tea ( very gd! taste exactly the same like those in BKK!). mine is the red one which i cant rem what it is except some flower tea lol.

Updates again. i think since beginning of the year, i started to include some personal updates in my blogpost as well. not to bored you with this but i just want to pen this down haha.

Ronnie, getting slightly better after his body talk session and i hope that with this, he can self heal himself and become his usual manja self again. i miss it..terribly haha.

busy with Ronnie and my personal stuff la. very tired but seeing ronnie recovering, i guess is worth it!

Dinner @ ShasLik

the food is russian good and they do steak in a different way. its grilled ( using skewers)  and marinated with herbs. i find the meat is abit dry but the food is ok. however, we waited very long time for our food. i guess it takes long time to prepare the food.

mushroom soup. i din have it ..but LL did. he find it so so only

garlic escargots, not bad but it can be more buttery. abit unhealthy but i think more butter is better haha..cos taste better

egg millionaire. a die die must order dish. the egg is mashed and mixed with mayo n bacon. very nice. 

shaslik steak - their specialty. there are two types. one is the normal steak and the other is the shaslik steak. be sure to order the shaslik if you wan to try their specialty

i took the chicken instead.

overall the pricing is ok. not very expensive except the serving for the steak and chicken is very small. i personally prefer normal way of preparing the meat haha. but is really gd to try out new flavours lo

Time for some Me updates. of cos, there will be some additional updates on Ronnie as well. Ronnie's temper is getting from bad to worst sadly. which i dont know why myself. I got myself bitten by him on Tue night. the bite was so deep that i can see the flesh ( very gross..so no pictures la). i dont blame him la. cos i totally pissed him off by making him wear the hood when he refused. is like forcing a cow to drink water right? the cow will just turn and charge at you. plus i know Ronnie is feeling quite moody lately so ..i dont blame him but myself.

on the other hand, he looks better now. can walk much further except he is totally pissed with me and my mum. for dont know what reason also la. we call him, he just acknowledge but turned away..give us the "i nt going to talk to u lor, cos i m dammed bloody pissed" look.

next is more about myself. my cough..finally i see some improvement lo. after taking the TCM route, i cough lesser and i dont wake up in the middle of the night to cough that often too.

Fish head Steamboat Dinner @ Whampoa Market

daddy used to bring us around for yummy fishhead steamboat and Whampoa food market is one of our fav hunt. As me and mummy went to deliver Ronnies' dinner ( he was hospitalized for a day previously and is very near Whampoa food market) so we decided to stay there for dinner.

this stall is very famous for their fishhead steamboat. they offer a few different type of fish and pomfret is the most favorite among them cos the meat is really smooth and soft. as this stall is very popular, you need to go there n order early else you will end up eating something else lol. and also be prepared to wait for at least 30 mins or more..(depending on your queue number) but the food is worth ever single bit of your waiting time!

Ronnie i think he is getting better each day cos from Fri, he is not able to see (looks like part of his memory lost). then today i think is slightly better and i think is a good sign. at least now he is less aggressive and he can response to us better.

weekends are still crazy as ever. just started my korean lessons, picking up the property business (training), meeting up IDs for the renovation(prepare so that once TOP, we can execute the renovation already), birthday celebration and also attending our friend's wedding (first wedding of the yr). The only time for relaxation is on Sun lol.. we had a 1 hr massage session...

plus chinese new yr is coming, it becomes busy and then now busier.

Dinner @ Canton Paradise - The Star

This is the first time for me n my parents to dine at Canton Paradise. one word to describe - EXPENSIVE. The food is ok only. the serving is very small. We ended up ordering alot of other dishes for dinner.
Egg fried rice. i dont know how it is being done ( i will want to try it myself next time). each grain of rice is actually coated with the egg yolkand then they are all "golden" in color.

stirred fried butter lettuce. this one is the most pathetic (in terms of quantity)dish out of the rest for we can know how much vege they put in the dish.

ee fu noodles. the noodles is nice. i love it but the portion also very little.

tou fu. not that fantastic.

black pepper chicken. alittle too salty i feel.

roasted meat platter. again. the servings is patheticly small..

after all the above, we are only about 50% full? so we ordered another plate of hor fun.

haha. pretty much food for 4 pax right? anyway, the food overall is only ok ( not that fantastic) and is quite expensive n recommend for small eaters only.

m bk. Ronnie looks like he is on his way to recovery. I brought him back for review yesterday and everything seems well. This morning, he took out the bandage on his leg himself, so i guess he is feeling better now except a little cry from him when he turn or when we touch his neck. else seems ok.

Today food post will be - The famous Founders of Bak Kut Teh. Seriously, i dont know who found or invented Bak Kut Teh but since they claim they are the founders of bak kut teh, so i guess they r the one la. else how to claim this title right?

I was told that Balestiar area is very famous for Bak Kut Teh and sadly i seldom go there until lately ( cos of Ronnie and also meeting up IDs). It actually happen coincidentally that one of the IDs that we visited that day is very near the Founders of Bak Kut Teh ( located at Rangoon Rd, actually is their branch). It was quite late at night and we were looking for a place for dinner after meeting up with the ID so we decided to settle there for dinner.

 

overall, the food is quite nice (but i still prefer the one at AMK Ave 3 - the market opp the swimming complex). Price is also quite reasonable . we ordered pig throttles, mei cai, bak kut teh -> total about 40 bucks.
the bak kut teh - not too strong peppery taste and the meat is quite tender.
Mei Cai - i find that it can be softer lol. cook longer maybe? probably also i have higher expectations for Mei Cai as both LL's mum and my mum cooks it well
Pig throtters - dont know why, i still prefer the one at AMK cos the dark soya sauce is better. =) nevertheless, this one is also as gd

many of my friend who know me since young would know that Shirley is not in my birth certificate and also my NRIC. It took me a while before i decided to include Shirley in my NRIC. I always thought it was a difficult process until M told me how easy it is by just declaring a deedpoll.

Story goes like this ->

so when i was young, we did some simple fortunate calculation on my name actually. My chinese name is proven too "harsh" for me and i get sickly easily ( when i was young, i couldnt recover from a cough just like now..but lucky i got a gd docter la..but now she retired liao..and i seen 3 docs n yet i still coughing lo) , then my life will also not very gd too. when i started sec, i have been using Shirley ( Xue li) among my friends and life seems to be much better..until the major incident happen 5 yrs back when i used my dialect name.

nevertheless, i blame it on myself for everything that has happen and nothing to do with my name..just my life.
since last yr, i started my RES course, i started using my dialect name again. it proven again..my exams kept failing and no matter how hard and well prepared, i always fail. strange. ( yes..i know..christians are non believers of such stuff..but when all else fails, i think i choose to believe everything than nothing). and nothing seems to be smooth for me until i started thinking of including Shirley in my NRIC. so i took the leap of faith and went ahead with it.

fair enuff, since i started using my dialect name, i become sickly too. so i am also hoping that this will help improve my health together with my life and luck.
then i went to a law firm earlier this mth and did a deedpoll. using the deed poll, i went to apply for Shirley to be included. the strange thing that happen..i passed my EXAMS! and also everything seems to b falling in placed quite well when i collect my IC yesterday (except for Ronnie la..but he is getting better). i really hope this will continue lor and my life really turns better n better

so here i am, i can be officially call Shirley liao! so happy

Dinner @ Watami with HazyHam
Met up with Hazyham earler this month too! we went to the Star for dinner. this is my first time at Watami and i am quite surprise with the variety of food there. Also the price is quite reasonable too. we took a set meal @ 69 ++ for 2 pax and we are stuffed by the end of it (couldnt finish some of it). So the set meal comes with some variety of dishes for different category like Starter, Main, side dishes..etc. here are what we choosen...its alot of food for the 2 of us..especially for ladies

i think if i eat with LL, he will be super full too!
it comes with drinks. i took honey lemon and Hazyham took her usual coke lo
Ceaser Salad. i find it funny with a soft boiled egg lol. but this is hazyham's fav lo..
Sukiyaki Beef! love it! i starting to adapt to the taste of beef...or mayb just these atas beef? o_O?
Scallops baked with cheese. yumz. sinful but taste fantastic!
Ramen! of cos, it couldnt be comparable with Marutama or those ramen specialty shop la..but still as gd
Sashimi! very fresh and yummy! our fav..

 
Udon, this is dry and i think we should eat it with the sukiyaki soup? anyway. i did la.. and is gd..

Overall
The dininig experience is quite nice and cosy. The price is quite reasonable as we had huge quantities of food and the food taste good too. I will definitey go back there again for more!

Not a very good year to begin with and somehow i wish this is the end of it so that i can have a better new yr. I have been sick since the last day of 2012 until now. i thought its the end but sadly, this is just the begining. i thought this "misfortunte" only betrow to me but it also landed with Ronnie as well.

he had siezure (mild) on the 4th Jan and the major one on 18th Jan. it was so seriously that i took urgent leave to bring him to the vet.And it dint stop there, another relapse on the 19th Jan andi got no choice but to send him to hospital at ARC on Sun. So he spend his 1 night stay and he is due for discharge today. so here i am, lack of 3 days sleep cos watching over him together with my mum until we put him at the hospital yday.totally zombified.

Gathering with MBS folks except LL

i am always glad that LL make every effort to mingle, get to know my friends ( especially MBS). He is a very sociable person and i am glad that i know him and we are together. At least he bothers to know more about me n my friends.so we met up together at NUS Alummi Cafe for a western dinner.
They have special offer for 1-1 wine / beer. they are pretty flexible with the arrangment of 1 for 1. It can be used on two person instead of 1 person with 2 drinks.i feel this is pretty good for those who are drivers and drinkers. cos probably after 2 glasses, u will be pretty high and high risk of getting caught by a traffic police
the food served is pretty good and reasonably price. i personally love their food there and especially their deserts! damm gd!

My linguini. Pretty generous with clam and is not very oily. the linguini is a little spicy but it actually covers the "fishy seafood" tasteof the clams!

LL's Wagyu Beef burger. Very big portion and according to LL, the beef is very gd. Soft and tender. Price is pretty reasonable for u are given such a big piece of beef..wagyu somemore lol

Salmon cooked in Miso. something very interesting. Cos usually salmon is pan fried or we ate it raw but this is cooked in MISO. the salmon maintains itsmeat tenderness ( i know sometimes overcooked salmon gives u very dry and hard meat lol). pretty healthy dish for many
Steak...not sure how it taste like but according to M, is fantastic lol. P.S : he is the frequent customer and tried almost every dish lol

Deserts
ICE cream cake. sounded very sinful. Yes..very lol cos they give u a super big piece of it but is really gd!

Molten cake. hot chocolate flowing out from the cake accompany by a scope of vanilla ice cream. one word to discribe. taste heavenly and is a perfect match!
So which desert u think i got myself? lol
